Mole Day at Jerome
2/12/16 Katie Lenz '17
Although it is not actually mole day (October 23rd), the chemistry classes are learning about moles and thought that they would celebrate the day early. A mole is the amount of pure substance containing the same number of chemical units as there are atoms in exactly 12 grams of carbon-12 (i.e., 6.023 X 10^23). But the Chemistry classes are taking a funnier approach to the topic; the kids were given a grade and extra credit points for all of the ways they creatively celebrated mole day.
